When we describe our products as truly natural, handcrafted, minimalist body care, what do we mean? There's a lot of misrepresentation in the realm of natural products, and we want to be as clear as possible about what we are doing. It's important to us that you know what you're getting when you purchase Simply by Nature, because that's the best way to get what you want.
Truly natural to us means as close to a natural source as possible. 'Natural' can mean almost anything these days, since ultimately most things come from nature, even if they've been processed a lot to become whatever they become. If you look at the ingredient lists of many natural products you'll be left scratching your head wondering "How is this natural"?
When we talk about truly natural body care products, we mean whole food ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, himalayan salt, and coffee beans. We mean 100% pure essential oils, from our high-altitude French lavender or carrot seed, all the way to our distinctive frankincense. All of our oils are 100% pure, high-quality, and have been carefully sourced. Even leucidal liquid (which is our favorite natural preservation method) may sound funny, but it's actually an amazing truly natural preservative made from fermented radishes!
When we say our products are handcrafted we mean it. We don't use co-packers (where a big manufacturing facility makes products for a company based on their specifications) or otherwise outsource our production. Our small team of dedicated natural product nerds personally handcraft, bottle, and ship everything from our own facility in Scottsdale, AZ. You can see the specific date your product was made, and what (small) batch number it's from. We care about this stuff, and we like to think it shows.
When something is minimalist, that means it only includes what is needed, and nothing that isn't. We purposefully choose each element of each recipe, searching for the perfect balance of effectiveness and ease of use, while also having a texture and scent that is pleasing to the senses. Our formulations are designed to work, and if an ingredient isn't necessary, it isn't included. We keep our products simple, so they can do their thing, Simply by Nature.
